Ground Source Heat Pump for Heating and Cooling
Heat pumps operate at the rate of $.059/KWH. They are efficient and not only provide heat but also cooling. Heating and air conditioning must be controlled. You pay conversion and control costs. BENCO will pay for the controller. All $400/ton rebates must be controlled. A $200/ton rebate is available if not controlled.

Air Source Heat Pump for Heating and Cooling
Heat pumps operate at the rate of $.059/KWH. They are efficient and not only provide heat but also cooling. Heating and air conditioning must be controlled. You pay conversion and control costs. BENCO will pay for the controller. All rebated heat pumps must be installed by a registered contractor and be controlled. Rebates available: 14.5 SEER and up $800 on retrofits, $600 on new construction. ECM Motor $100.

Power Cost Adjustment
The Power Cost Adjustment is applied to all load management rates.

Electric Dual Fuel
Is the use of electricity for space heating except during peak periods. An alternate source of heat is used at peak times. The Duel Fuel cost is $.059/KWH. You pay for all conversions. BENCO will pay for the controller.

Interruptible Water Heating
Allows BENCO to control your Marathon water heater during peak periods. There are several ways to take part in this program. BENCO will provide controllers and pay for installation of the controller except when the customer is already on or will be on a reduced rate.

Air Conditioning Rebates
Rebates are available for central air conditioners with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency (SEER) of 14.5 to 16+ on Energy Star systems. Must be cycled for two years. The higher efficiency will save you up to $50/year on your energy bill. While funds last. All air conditioning must be installed by a registered contractor and be cycled. Rebate amount: 14.5 SEER - $300; 15 SEER - $400; 16+ SEER - $450

Cycled Air Conditioning
Is a program where we cycle air conditioners during peak periods. For participating in this program, you will receive a $75 credit your first year (requires two year minimum in program) and a $15 credit annually for the duration of the program. BENCO will pay for installation of the controller.

Storage Water Heating
Needs at the minimum a 100 gal electric water heater that is supplied energy from 11pm to 7am. You pay conversion and installation costs. BENCO will pay for the controller.

Storage Space Heating
Is the use of "OFF PEAK" electricity. Off peak is stored between 11pm and 7am and released throughout the day. The cost is $.045/KWH. You pay conversion and control installation costs. BENCO will pay for the controller.
